Eh, the old man says he was wrong. Says it's just been a while since he's driven 4wd lol. Idk. We'll figure that out when he gets it home (hopefully sunday).

And a side note, I had no idea these had an over head display so early. That is kind of cool. No need to bother keeping track of miles/gallons.

Well, more news on the Dak from the elder family unit down south.

According to the overhead display, it averaged 15mpg doing ~75mph on the freeway.

It has lower gears (will check out when we do the fluid) due to a previous owner using it to tow. So it may have a beefier than stock axle.

On the axle and gears, I don't know yet. Like I said, I'll check when I do the fluid. And for the mileage, he has a thousand mile drive to get an accurate average. He's going to go the pen and pad route just to make sure.

Sticker price was $3200. By the time it gets home, and we get permanent plates, probably ~$3750.

thats def not too bad with the new clutch and trans...these trucks and a lot of dodge vehicles are know to start peeling paint on the room and hood especially the older ones not to expensive to get fixed though if its just the roof sounds like a pretty good deal though to me

Yeah not a bad price at all. And playmaker is right the dodge paint isn't the best from the factory. My last dakota was an 01 and already was getting spots all over the hood where the sun had killed the paint. So not uncommon especially seeing it came from the sunshine state lol.
