Default Front Main Seal Leak

My 03 4.7L has a front main seal leak. Any idea what it takes to replace? My biggest worry is my 650 ft lb impact won't take off the harmonic balancer.

Is there a special installation tool?

you shouldnt have a problem taking the HB bolt out. You will need a puller to take the balencer itself off. Once you get the old seal out of the timing cover just get a small block of wood and a hammer to put the new one in.

Does the timing cover need to come off? ALso, what is the torque on the harmonic pulley bolt?

If you remove the lower fan shroud you should be able to get to it with relative ease.

VIBRATION DAMPENER TO CRANK BOLT
3.9/5.2 = 135 ft/lbs
5.9 = 180 ft/lbs
4.7 = 130 ft/lbs

My 4.7 has developed the same leak. Did you replace yours OK? Anything that I should be aware of before I start? Did you have to take the timing cover off? BTW this is in a 2003 Durango. Are they the same as the Dakota 4.7 if you know?
Thanks
