Default Rear Driveshaft U-joint problems

So my truck was making a loud clunk when putting it in gear and I felt some added vibrations lately when driving. And after getting the u-joint out it was about to completely fail. The problem I had was that of course I couldn't get the right part from advanced auto. I ended going there three times and pep boys once. The reason I was having such problems is the u-joint that came out of my truck had two different size caps on it. Is this normal? I ended up using the caps from the first u-joint that I got for the caps that go in the driveshaft with the caps and main part of the ujoint that I got last. Here are the numbers.

Neapco Brute Force: 2-1175BF (1.126 in Bearing caps)
Neapco Brute Force: 1-6301BF (1.078 in Bearing caps - used two of these caps in the driveshaft)

anybody else have this problem?

when the rear joint on the ram went, my dad let the dealer do it since you aren't supposed to replace them DIY style on an aluminum driveshaft. But for Dako, IDK.
