Default replaceing speakers

So I blew the factory paper speakers in my truck the other day, and I am trying to replace them. I have a 2001 ext cab dakota slt. The speakers that were in there had tabs built into the speaker to fit the mounting bracket. I cannot find speakers to fit the mounting bracket. Bought a pair of Pioneer 6 3/4 speakers but cannot figure out how to get the speaker and the mounting bracket to co-exist and the speaker wont fit by itself on the door. Thought about some j.b. weld to make them stay and just hope i never have to replace them again but......

I ditched the mounting bracket and just drilled holes in the door and put the speakers in.

My speakers came with 3 different mounting brackets. Ended up having to use all of them to get it to fit.
