I have the 9.25 on mine... but I do have the tow package so.

And to the OP you will want to get it calibrated also when you're done otherwise your speedo will be off a good bit. And like others said, have some one instal it for you.

now i'm curious as to what's under my truck...but i'm thinking 9.25 myself, for some reason...

yea i was guna have a buddy of mine do it at his shop, and thanks i found i have the 8.25 rearend, ill order them this weekend and hopefully ill have my superchips 3865 tomorrow

i know the 1997s and 1998s only came with the 8.25 rear end. i know this because i have replaced three of them so far. it sucks but oh well. next time ill be putting the 9.25 in
