Default 3in Drop Shackles

I want to toss out my blocks and use some shackles instead.

Anyone know where i can find a set of 3in drop shackles, maybe adjustable?

not gonna happen. only works on 4wd trucks. 2wd have the shackle flipped. 4wd goes above the hanger, 2wd bellow. You could buy a flip kit. drop it 4" like nothing.

This is true, but your cheapest bet is to find the shackles from a 4x4 dakota in a pull it yourself junkyard. I believe the hangers are riveted on, so you'll need something that can drill them out. I assume it would be the same for the 2nd gen as the 1st gen, but I know on the 1st gen if you swap to the 4x4 hangers/shackles it will give you your 3 inches of drop (or lift if you have a 4x4 and go to 2wd hangers)

thats nice, whats your reasoning? It's not only possible, shackle lifts/drops are also safer than blocks.

Cuz the Blower is going to be the last thing i do once i have EVERYTHING else i want done... done! lol...

After Heads and Cam there will be nothing else i can do to my motor besides stroke it to a 408 but im gonna leave it be and just blow it with 9-10psi.

Heads and cam should be on before the end of summer.. blower should be on by end of the year hopefully... if i dont run into anymore things that set me back in my wallet... like TICKETS and Court....

Ive got a pair of 2" drop hangers... i bought them on craigslist but they were never installed and still not (i havent decided to tackle drilling the old ones out yet so i just went with blocks) but they are from djm.... you might check there to see if they have some 3"
good luck
