Default New Truck Bed

Okay, so I have this 2000 Dakota Sport V8 4.7L with a pretty beat bed, and I am looking for a new bed at some of the junk yards around arizona. But I just wanted to know what years will fit my truck. Are all the 98-04 beds the same (6 1/2')? Is there anything I should look for?

Oh yea I have a regular cab. I did a search here (http://search2304.used-auto-parts.bi...ory/retail.htm) with these options...

Year: 2000
Make/Model: Dodge Dakota
Part: Bed, Pickup

Next Page...
6-1/2'

so according to them 98-04 fits the truck

i think hte beds will swap over, between 00-01
but, i would check to make sure, thats a bunch of work if it dont fit

just take pictures of a couple of your mounting brackets, and take them with you to the junkyard as reference

There is a difference b/w a 4wd and 2wd bed also. Make sure you get what yours is.
