Default rear brake problems please help!!

ok so I have a 01' dakota 4x4 with rear drum brakes and they keep coming out of adjustment, 3 to 4 times a week they get very spongy and weak and I have to drive 3 miles to find a empty pl to back up and stop to adjust. I've had them checked out once already by my local brake shop ive bled them numerous times taken off the shoes and cleaned them out, etc. both front and rear brake jobs were done just over a year ago and I usually don't do any hard stops. fluid is full and clear what else could it be? btw this is when they are at operating temp.

thanks

they re-routed the adjuster cable on both sides cuz they were on wrong. so to them, everything was fine. I bought a spoon to tighten the adjuster star while the drum is ON so that I can do it all by hand. we'll see how long it stays for this time but if not I dont know what to do

if thats the case, get under the truck and adjust them manually, those auto adjusters dont work as well as they could.
