Default all you plow guys out there..quick question

I have a 97 dakota (extended cab) with a v6 that i had a brand new western 7.2 foot plow on. i now want to up grade to a 02 or 03 dakota with the v8 (either quad or extended cab im not sure yet). the question i want to know is. are the frames the same? can i take the plow mount off the 97 and put it on the 02 or 03? please let me know..thanks

Where does it mount up? Bumpers are different, frames are same till like the firewall.

im pretty sure its just mounted to the front of the frame. i took a few pics to show you what im talking about but im not sure they will help.

I think the frames are the same. I would take a look at a frame from a 02 or 03 and see if it looks like yours that is your best bet. How well is that dak with plowing? Our driveway is about 150-200 yards long and the atv isnt fast enough.

damn you are spoiled, driveways? its all about the alley boys. hangin out shootin hoops and drinking 40's in the alley. thats livin the high life.

the truck plows great actualy. i do about 20 contract drive ways a year (side job) and it fits in all the small drive ways and still has a decent size blade on it for the bigger ones. If your looking to get a plow for your dakota i would def reccomend the wester 7.2

Every now and then I shoot hoops in the driveway(rare tho now a days) but most of the hanging out and drinking happens at the bottom of our field around the fire. If were not doing that we are out messing around on atvs with friends.

Thats good to hear I Plan to get one sometime. Plus I normally do the neighbors driveways too so having a bigger plow will help out a lot. Thanks
