sadly i work for a bank... luckily its one of the big banks that wasnt effected but the mortgage crisis like boa or wamu but now my bank has decided to cut back 40% of staff to still maintain high dividends.. i work in cust serv. but its a sales postition sadly now their Gkicking ppl who dont meet their sales.. which means if i cant sell creditcards-loans or investments or even mortgages to cust when they call im not doing my job.. so oddly enuff they want us to pick up the slack.. for everyother dept. which if we dont theyve already let go a ton of ppl and called it "failing to meet goal" my head is on the chopping blck this friday the 15th if my sales arent good enuf or cph isnt good enuf meaning not talking to enuf ppl per hour.. then im gone..

prior to economy life was fine.. now its chaotic but to me its sad getting canned in customer service role that they swapped you to sales to help other ppl but then let u go since youre not selling .. thats just goofy ...

 

We are all feeling it and it def. sucks. My father manages a sawmill here in CT and usually they only don't work the major holidays but lately they shut down for a couple weeks at a time. Luckly my father is on salary and is still there doing some work so it hasn't effect us too much, but if they go down the hole its going to suck. Plus thats my summer job and now ill only be able to work about half the summer. It sucks but we did it to our selves. People are retarded and bought way too much stuff and more than they could afford. I just heard yesterday my neighbors house is getting forclosed.
