Default Converting a 2000 rwd dakota to 4x4

im interested in converting my 2000 dakota sport 3.9 to a 4wd. i dont know of anyone that has done it but if anyone has any answers please let me know.. thanks

It's not worth attempting. ur better off buying an actual 4x4

this is just off the top of my head, and im not a 4wd expert.
you would need a 4wd transmission
transfer case
front axle
front driveshaft
probably a bunch of other front end components
a 4wd computer
all of the inside the cab controls for the 4wd

like rakaric said... its not even worth attempting. it would almost be easier to swap your cab/bed onto a functioning 4wd truck that has alot of body damage or something.

yeah i would say just do the cab switch like wink said. There is a guy in the 1st gen forum that did that so you might wanna try and get a hold of him if you ahve any questions.
