Yeah same exact thing. Lights won't work sometimes along with interior lights flickering, no power locks, whippers don't work. Disconnect the battery and wait 5-10 min, hook it back up and everything works for a while again. It usually happens in the rain, but has happened in dry weather as well.

yea, its just a fluid additive that helps the clutch packs in the differential to engage and disengage properly.

Could be water dripping in through the seal on the windshield onto the CTM drivers kick panel. Check the harness.

Also, check your grounds like chasis to ground, motor to ground, firewall to ground, and dash to gound.

Well I'm not 2873 but the Friction Modifier is an additive that comes in a small bottle that needs to be added to the rear differential but only if the differential is a Limited Slip differential and is included with the regular lubricant. The LSD only came in 9.25 inch rear ends in these rigs and was a add on package deal.

Always install the Friction modifier in any differential that is Limited Slip. The OEM Friction Modifier is Fully Synthetic so switching over to Fully Synthetic and adding the additive won't return the lubricant back to a blend or (regular lubricant state).

You can pick it up at the dealer or pay for it at a service station..... Just stay away from Jiffy Lube.....LOL

Diff lubricant should be changed at least every 60K or when driven through deep water. I perfer every 30k but each to their own and I alway use Fully Synthetic.

Don't forget to change out the Transfer Case fluid as well every 30k when doing the transmission. Both should be done at 15k intervals and use ATF+4 fluid ONLY! Transmission should have the filter replaced and bands adjusted if equiped. Stay away from transmission flushes!

Must have been the pre-1998 models that came equiped because it wasn't an option over on my side and I don't see Dodge making them for one and not the other. Then again we are talking about brothers but not identical....... Usage could be the reasoning or other.

I started really looking into this because I knew of a graph some place on line that showed ALL of the axels for Durango/Dakota from 1997 thru 2003 axel types/ratios avalible/fluids and capasity/LS and all that..... Can't find it and it's PISSIN ME OFF!
