Def keep it. Looks beautiful. I too plan on running mine into the ground. IMO the 2nd gen dak is one of the best trucks ever made for daily driver use. Perfect size not tiny like a ranger or massive like the full size ones these days. Best in class power at the time. The only thing is they can hurt from reliability issues at times...

ok... I've pretty much decided to keep it.

I'd definitely like to put dual exhaust on it. Is it best to purchase a kit from somewhere, or just take it to a shop and have them do it?

Yeah its easier to take it to a shop. It really does not cost too much to get a catback exhaust put on. And it should look about perfect when they get done.

I would def get a superchips or other programable tuner. They give you the best bang for your buck.

I don't know much about the benefits of getting a chip or whatever. What will that do for me? Fine tune performance, etc... ? Is it necessary to get one with a change in exhaust?

Not necessary for a change in exhaust. Its a tuner you plug in to your ecu and with onscreen instruction, will help tune your truck for different settings. Such as a tune for better gas consumption, better towing, or better performance. It will tune it to run on 93oct. It basically retards the timing to help get the performance. They are very easy to use and you can get a good gain in power. I forget just how much a superchips will give you I'll try and look it up...

18 hp and 20 ft/# of torque is what I found when I searched around. Which is far more than you will ever get with an intake or an exhaust or even both together.
