Default Manual Tranny Upshift Light

The light on the dash (Speedo) works when doing the self-test at start up...but never illuminates otherwise, even if I don't shift until 5500 RPM's. Anyone know were it gets its signal from or what my be amuck? It's not a big deal but I would like it to work.

My friends 3.9 has it and it works.

We all have the newer modular motor... wondering if that has something to do w/ it or if it is just coincidence.

Yeah I wonder why it seems to only be on the modular motors (3.7, 4.7) that it does not work.
