Crank sensor, Cam sensor or your coil are shot. I bet the crank sensor. Especially if it was sitting around water... I shorted one out.

Its not starting, because it wants to stay with you.. your dakota is like a kid, would you sell your kid? Actually... i cant ask that, cuz i would if it was alot of money...

hmmm... anyways point is, it doesn't want to leave you

and on a serious note... +1 on what varsis said.

well to solve the prob it was the coil and somehow it burnt the cap and rotor on the inside so those wer replaced too and yes i no im going to miss her but i did buy another dakota its a 94 so no computer test and its a 4x4 still a 3.9 though club cab only paid 475 for it and it runs great in need of body work major but i dont care about that cuz its for winter and mudding for summer i got myself a 83 camaro/firebird with a small block 350 edel brock carb/intake/headers mild cam posi rear t-top th350 tranny with shift kit i just had rebuilt

btw i sold the the red dakota 4 1,200 and he doesnt no it but paid for the repair i was hoping to get 1500 out of it but suprisingly he still wanted it after it didnt start so i let it go for 1200 he gave me 200 i had it fixed and then i told him well cuz it cost 200 to repair it i would like another 100 so total would of been 1300 but it realy only cost me 100 to fix it

Cuz he is going to rebuild it into a stick *** 9 sec truck, and probably sign up on all the forums... see that you ripped him off and then come to your house and murder you in your sleep and rape your dog while drinking your milk from the carton/jug.
