Default Can't find mods for v6? Wanna try some.

I always forget to try the tps mod but now I am hearing about a transmission mod where you cut a wire or something like that. I'd like to find a link to all the cheap mods that can be done. My v6 has a cold air intake and synthetic fluids in all parts i could put it lol. But the truck is slow as hell compared to my friends. His is a v6 automatic just like mine but he kicks my *** somehow. I even did a tuneup and still i am to slow. Any hints would be nice. Also lol. I am hoping to meet some of you guys one day if theres a meet in Denton tx again.

Well, if you have a quad cab and your friend has a regular cab, you're carrying more weight, so you're not going to be as fast. And does he have the 3.7 or 3.9? Which do you have?

The fact is the V6 is a dog. All V6 guys say that. It's a dog.

I'm not really sure what to tell you about mods though. I have the 4.7L.

Edit: Double Post.

hughes engines sells an intake manifold and KRC has some headers, diff gearing, and you could also get a tuner. my guess, your friend has a 4x2, reg cab, or gears, some combo of those is beating you. thats my guess.

I found out today that the 3.9's are actually not all that bad. Pulled a 20 foot double axle trailer(3,000lb) a yamaha rhino(around 1,000lb) and a suzuki ltr 450(around 475lb). It didnt have any problems pulling just braking but thats due to the trailer needed rewired for brakes. All it has is a k&n filter
