right now I have the stock TB but I was wondering if changing it out for a F&B 52 mm Throttle Body would make a difference and about how much if it worth doin like whats the hp gain from goin from stock to 52mm

 

I am not sure about that, but I do know that it is considered a great mod. I found that a lot of people do that.

 

Well, adding a 52TB to a COMPLETELY stock 5.9 will not give you a super difference, but when combined with a M-1, Headers, Good Exhaust, Intake, ect... it works with the other mods and gives better performance... it def. wont hurt to put one on it right now, but your stock intake and manifold are holding ti back from its full potential and flow.


I have a 52mm Billet Holley TB on my truck, along with all the other bolt ons, i added it AFTER i had the M-1, Headers, Intake, 1.7s, ect.. and i noticed a night and day diffrence on the "get up and go" on the freeway.

So yes its a good upgrade to start from.

 

what are you goals for the truck in the long run? you gonna go with a lotta go fast mods? then hit up the 52mm.

if not, and you just wanna gain a few extra ponies... hit up a stock ported and polished v8 throttle body.

i put a ported and polished v6 TB on my 3.9 and the low end deff came up and even while goin down the road it will pull harder. deff a great mod tho
