3.9 magnum remote turbo
Turbos are a ton of work to get right and are never reliable, seems to always have issues. S/c'ers are a lot easier and like varsis said a 5.9 swap is cake as far as engine swaps go.
And for tires... If you're going to be turbo'd im guess you will probably be making 300 anyway, so all seasons will just spin for days on end if you try and go anywhere. DR's are always a good option, unlress you are doing a lot of twisty windy road racing action.
And if you're concerned if you'll hear your bov, then that seriously makes you sound like a ricer.

i would love a 5.9 swap... but i am not pulling the 3.9
ive done some reading and a lot of parts for the 5.2/5.9 fit the 3.9 with little to no modding. would i be better off with a cam/roller rockers/throttle body/intake/valve springs/other(wat else? lol).
i couldnt find any s/c's for the 3.9 and i cant spend $2gs on a kit........

if you cant spend 2g's on a kit for a SC'er then i would just wait. that remote turbo is going to cost you a lot more than 2K when its all said and done. besides you still have the stock intake manifold, TB, exhaust, start modifying there, its cheap and it will hold back that itch to go faster until you have more money.
i read, re-read, then re-re-read the hughes article on the 3.9 and i guess the turbo is a no go for now.
it says to pair the mods the same as the v8s... wat mods go together?
as far as i can tell..... ill be doing (in this order?)
COI
throttle body
stageI intake manifold
cam (not sure which one as of yet, any input?)
new exhaust (just a flowmaster on there now)--> high flow cat w/ flowmaster40(s) (if y pipe)? and cut out the resonator. maybe a y-pipe w. dual exit?
wat else? how will this baby sound after this? (i know i seem obsessed w. the sound but hey... who wants a car that sounds like ****?)

do exhaust before a cam. cheaper, more reasonable, and it will open up the potential of the cam for when you get around to doing it. with a sixxer your pretty locked in to using hughes as your primary parts source.
yeah... i figured hughes was the only way to go.
will a stock v8tb be enough? or should i go with an airaid or hughes?
cam (hughes) recomendations anyone? i want the most hp possible i guess. im going with the
stageI intake as its best for 2-4k it says...
so...
COI then tb then intake mani then exhaust then
cam. any hp guesses?

if you want serious power NOW and are that concerned with numbers then just call it a day, and go spend a few hundred bucks on a stage one ZEX kit and be done with it. that will get you the numbers you are after.
haha this turned into an uberfailure! from a turbo to boltons/internals to spray. before i was hooked on the turbo idea i wanted to spray her (no pun intended lol).
im feelin ima do a wet system, rims/tires, then the tb/intake/cam. ill need a good tune to run the nos effectively huh...

yes a good tune would be nice. whatever you do DO NOT advance the timing with a n2o setup, bad things will happen. that means no chip, no tuner, no mopar PCM. get a good downloadable tune from hemifever. you will also have to go a few step colder on your plugs. i have been waiting over a year to do my nitrous setup, but i hold off because i have done my TB, long tubes, and i am waiting to install an M1 and 4.56 gears. nitrous will be last, only when she's ready for it. you rush it, you will pay. if you REALLY want a cam then there are specific ranges you need to look into, tight LSA, moderate/low lift, and long duration. whatever you do dont rush the process. i know a guy (i wish i didnt know this guy) who when he was 16 years old took a n2o bottle, put it in his front seat, ran garden hose from the bottle out the window through his grille and into his intake. he proceeded to just open the bottle while driving and tore his motor to shreds. ask Matt (dodgeheller or hellerdodge or whatever the hell his name on here is)..... bad idea. granted he had a honda and thats what ricers like to do, they do all their modifications the cheap and easy way and either yield no results or pay for it dearly. the kid could have killed himself.
spray is a bad idea for me! so...
first round:
COI
Intake mani
TB
(~220hp? from what ive read)
2nd round:
tires/rims
3rd round:
headers/exhaust
cam
(~250hp? from what ive read)
good plan?? will a v8tb be sufficient? or will a airaid/hughes be best?
