Replace Engine
I have a 02 Dodge Dakota V8 4.7L. I want to replace the engine with a 6.1. Does anyone know if this will fit?

physically.... yea it should fit
if you're gonna go through all the work to do the swap you're gonna want to keep the sawzall handy

I know a couple of guys who have transplanted Hemi engines into Dakota's. You need to talk to Hemidak.

it will fit, it's physically the same size as the 5.7. Reason most do the 5.7 and not the 6.1 is they cost an arm and a leg more for one!
