Default water pump

How difficult is it to change out the water pump on a 2004 dakota 3.7? I am starting to see evidence of antifreeze drips and spray on the inside of the hood. Probably coming from the shaft. I changed one twice on a 20 year old ranger. Bolts broke but was able to get them out. Thanks for your help.

Check "Youtube". There are a couple videos on changing out your pump on a dakota. I don't remember what year.

Do a search here on the website for it. I'm sure you'll find it.

Not really sure how much different the V8's are to the V6's...I had to change mine on a 97 V6...did it by my self...I took my time and it took me about 6 hours. The most difficult thing for me was the AC compressor. I just unbolted it (keeping all the lines connected) and kinda let it rest on top of engine. I only had minimal tools and wasn't that bad. Have not had any problems with it. Probably saved myself $300-$400 dollars in labor!
