Just trying to figure out the best way to trouble shoot this problem with the 30amp fuse. Its the fuse under the hood that im referring to. Blows as soon as you turn the key. Might this be a common problem with a known fix. This is a 99 dakota with a 4 banger. Manual trans. Thanks in advance...and yes it does have an after market alarm that has been disconnected for some time.

 

there is a short somewhere. it could be in the wiring, or it could be in the device you are trying to get the power to. id get out my DVOM and find a wiring diagram and go to town on it.
