Default p1756 question

It's a '97 Dakota v6 w/ a 44re tranny. Not shifting out of 2nd gear when engine reaches normal operating temp. I've replaced the solenoid and transducer with mopar parts, changed the fluid and filter twice. Noticed quite a bit of metal in pan first fluid change and 15k miles later changed fluid again and more metal in pan. OBD2 scanner throws p1756 but the description following the code reads "manufacuer ctrl. transmission" ( and thats how it's spelled in the scanner). I have not seen this defintion of a p1756 code anywhere. I understand this code relating to govenor pressure but typically thats the definition following the code. Anyone heard of this definition or is it time for a new tranny?

P1756 (M) Governor Pressure Not Equal To Target @ 15-20 PSI Governor sensor input not between 10 and 25 psi when requested to be 0 psi. (4-speed auto. Trans. Only)

I'd change that there sensor... see what happens.

I'll give it another try. Perhaps the one I installed was bad or something shorted it out. Thanks for the reply B

No prob. May check the wire and such, make sure there is no bare spots that are grounding out.
