Default oil pressure drops at stop

I know I know, there have been manny posts on this. I must suck at searching because I can't find them. Every once in a while when I come to a complete stop the oil pressure gauge drops to 0 and the check gauges light come on. When you take off the pressure returns to normal. Is the gauge being screwy or is my pressure dropping?

Check out the oil pressure sending unit. I bet you'll find a huge oil leak coming from it. My '92 did the same thing. Replaced the unit and have had accurate pressure readings since. What motor do you have? If it's the 3.9, 5.2 or 5.9, it'll be on the back/passenger side on the very top behind the intake. It's a difficult one to see. Might be easiest from underneath.

Mine did the same thing when the oil level was low. Got an oil change and the issue disappeared.
