Default Backspacing for 33x12.50's ???

Hey guys, I'm looking to put 33x12.50's on my '99 Dakota. Right now I'm running 32x11.50's with the stock wheels but they rub (just barely) on the frame. I definitely need wheels before I go bigger but I don't know what back spacing I need. Anyone who's running these tires please let me know what wheel you're using! Thanks!

which rims are you using? I think all the dodge wheels are different backspacing...

Well my factory rims are 15x7's with a 6x4.5 lug pattern but I have no idea what the factory back spacing is. The wheels I'm looking at getting are Cragar Soft 8's or Wagon wheels 15x8's with a 4.25" back spacing. I can only assume that's pretty standard but I don't know. If they're too close I can always do wheel spacers but I'd rather not.

I am running the same size tire. I have cragar soft 8s. I got them from summit, which I thnk only has 1 or 2 of that style for our bolt pattern. If there are two, I got the one which sticks out farther. They still rub very minimally, but only at full lock. I am running a 3" body lift though. If you don't have a body lift be prepared to cut your plastic wheel well things.

your best bet is to take off one of your wheels and determine your backspacing you have now. Once you get those numbers, play with this..

(to determine your backspace, lay a straight edge across the back of the wheel, and measure down to the mounting face)

Sounds good guys, thanks for the info. Oh, and I'm running a 2" body lift and planning to do add-a-leaf and torsion bar keys before I go to 33's so we should be good.

We carry the Alloy Ion style 174 in a 15x8 6x4.5 and 3.5 inch backspacing. The Polish are $79 a rim. We also carry the pacer solf 8 ( I think took over the or make the Cragar solf 8)
