Was pretty bored this weekend so cleaned the outside of my truck up. I plan on scrubbing the carpets and waxing it tomorrow. Then hopefully this week I have time to do my herculiner and under coat my frame.

Im going to try to take my bed off when I under coat it. Im not sure how much a pita its going to be though. I helped my friend do it on his dak with out the bed off and it wasn't too bad but id like to get as much rust off as possible.

r u gonna sand down your bed when u put the bedliner in?
if so have fun i did that when i did my duplicolor liner and it took me 14hrs total, hand sanding!!, to sand it down, but i sanded all the way down to primer and some bare metal where the rust was

Mine just says use the scouring pad to scuff all paint surfaces where herculiner is to be applied leaving no glossy spots which my truck already has the cheapo plastic bed liner so there is only 1 rust spot which needs cut out and replaced with fiberglass which should only take me about a hr to do. Then it needs wiped down with acetone and I can apply it.

yea mine said only scuff up, but i wanted to make sure that stuff would never flake off so i went down to primer, how bad is the rust in your bed, if its just surface rust just sand it down to bare metal then give it a shot of rustoleum or primer and it'll be fine

oh and i got a little creative with mine and went over the rail to make it look like i had side rail caps, because the paint was fading, looked pretty good, just took 1in blue painters tape and lined it up with the pin stripe goin down the truck
just thought i'd throw that idea in there

My rust is on the wheel well and it goes the whole way threw about a 50 cent piece maybe a little bigger and I was going to do the same on my bed rail too

The truck looks almost dark purple or blue in those pics... what kind of wax are you going to use?
