When a/c is turned on check engine light comes on? When light is reset (disconnecting the battery) it does not come back unless the a/c is turned on? What could cause this, I didn't think the a/c had anything to do with the check engine light? Also, the a/c seems fine and is putting out cold air.

Any ideas would be appreciated

 

The code itself would help out alot. Figure out what code its tossing. And post back.

 

Dodge has a good why of finding engine codes. turn on the ignition switch three times in rapid succession. The code is displayed on the odometer. An after market repair manual (Chilton's) will decode the number.
