Default How do I fix this?!?

Ok so my brakes are catching. The slides the brake pad tabs slide on have groves (see attached, I circled them tho you cant really see them. took pic with cell and its mostly so you can see what part Im talking about) and one of the tabs gets caught and keeps the caliper "on". I NEED to drive my kota its been over a month since Ive driven it and I miss it

I tried filling the groves with weld but they are cast and I only have access to a wire fed mig welder. So no Im thinking of grinding the grove so its smoother so the tab wont catch. Id be using a dremel but I wanna know what you all think first. Im poor and I want it to go so I can have my truck back!

Any suggestions and advice would be fantastic.

I'd just use a dremel to smooth out the groove a little bit so it doesnt get caught.

those tabs are there for the spring clip, aren't they? I'm foggy on discs still, but I thought the spring clip loads into those slots, so the caliper shouldn't even catch on them?

Ok so I smoothed the grove out so its big but shallow and its seems all set! I took it for a 10- 15mi test drive and it seems to be golden. Im thinking of using a brake system grease to put on the slides to help prevent rust and keep it from getting worse.
