Transmission swap
And as far as the 4X4 swap. im not sure, i would say everything would be exactly the same, except for the transfer case part. 95 318SLT might be the person, to ask since he has done the swap on a 1st gen, they are generally the same vehicles. But he would have more insight on the 4X4 part than i would.
thanks. And what kinda pics would u like? trucks nasty lookin right now cause i aint washed in a while......too cold!! and really the truck is nice except for the engine trouble im having than no one in the world has ever experience apparently. but i figure it out eventually
Ok well I was unsure about doing the 5 speed swap in my truck cause of time money issues but I dont care anymore I am def going to do the swap now once I have enough money. Watching this vid made me want a manual in my truck so bad!!!
In fact, if you do the swap while your automatic is still in good working order, you should have no problems selling it! It didn't take me long.
Lol, it is so worth it too! I would never even consider going back now that I have a 5 speed! There is a noticably about more power put to the ground and its a lot more fun to drive! And oh yeah... no dodge automatic transmission problems to worry about! :P

Just read my thread in the 1st gen section and the couple other ones I've seen floating around this site like this one before you start and get everything you need before hand! Its actually a really straight forward swap. I imagine the only thing you might have a problem with over me is the electronics, cause OBDII is a lot more picky than OBDI.
