Default 15" Rims on a 2004

Is it possible to put 15" rims on a 2004 Dakota QuadCab?
I searched all over for this and found nothing.
I have some 31x10.5R15 BF mud terrians off my Bronco that I want to put on my dakota but I am not sure a 15" rim will fit.

Thanks for any input.
Travis

Are you using the rims and all? If so it definetly wont work, a bronco have a five lug pattern, and the dak had a 6 lug pattern. The only matching pattern to a dakota is a viper, a durango, and an 05 and up frontier, yes a nissan......but your truck being a 2004 and a quad cab, it should have rear disc brakes, which also poses a problem. You cant run anything less than a 16 on those discs this i am certain of. Hope this helps!

yes, you can put 15'' rims on a 2004 dakota with rear disk brakes. i did it on my truck. the rear brakes are not a problem at all. they fit right on, but the fronts were a problem. i had to grind down the caliper to get them the rims to clear and roll freely. i am also runnin 31x10.5r15's on my truck. it came factory with 16's. so to answer your question. yes, it can be done.

Thanks for your input. That is exactly what I wanted to hear. I thought the fronts were going to be the problem.
Thanks again.

How much did you have to grind off?

maybe an 1/8'' inch, if that. i just grinded a little bit, then put the rim to see if it would spin. and if it wouldnt i would grind some more and so on and so forth. i kinda just made and afternoon out of it. then i painted them because i didnt want them to rust.

i dont care how big or small the rims are, they wont fit on your truck because the bronco rims are 5 lug pattern, like someone already told you. stop looking for what you want to hear.

If you read my post it says that i have some 31x10.50r15 BF mud terrains off my bronco, I did'nt say they were on rims.

I am very aware of the different bolt patterns.

But, thanks for your input wink2873 !

I had the same problem. Even tho i didn't need to i grinded the rear too... If yoru gonna be mudding or in the rocks you might want to grind off more then 1/8". As the rocks and mud get in or around your rims they will jam up from the caliper and rim. Put big scratches in your rim Or maybe even wear threw. I took a **** load off to make sure im good in or out of the bog. But 15's DO fit, Just tedius work.. You might want to take your time and Rotate Wheels as you grind. As you grind it heats up the caliper and maybe burn up a break piston seals inside. My advice to you, jack up one side, take both tires off and rotate. grind one then the other then go back etc etc... If your either bit a bogger or an offroader grind about 1/4" off, that way your safe from debris getting inside and ruffing up your nice 15".

Also i have .5" wheel spacers all around. theres my truck right underneath this thread.. Dakotas ROCK!!!
