Default New P/S Gear Box

Hi...Back again. Just replaced the leaking and loose steering gear box in my 98 Dakota 4x4. Pretty straight forward except for separating pitman arm from center link. BENT the fork. Finally had to heat link and then it finally popped. Absolutely had no other choice. WTF. Anyway box is in and centerline is perfect. Question is when I start to turn from center there is a binding/hesitation for a split second then is OK. I am assuming it needs to bleed out/break in fully and then will be fine. I only went back and forth for a few minutes and drove about a mile. (I needed to get cleaned up bad and my nerves were shot)
Should I just break it in for a while...carefully?

to blood the lines you should lift the front end up with the truck off turn it side to side, check the resivor after 5-6 turns to make sure there is enough fluid. Top up if needed. than repeat i would do it a bunch of times to make sure than it should be airless doesn't take as much as breaks to do in the ps box.

Default P/S Box update

Been driving around for a while and problem is quickly disappearing. Must be breaking in well. FEELS GOOD! Been checking for leaks as a follow up. Nothing whatsoever. I replaced high pressure line at the same time. Thanks for input
