Default 2003 Dakota 3.9 P0315 & MIL flashes 11 times - no spark

Hi, i have a 03 Dakota 3.9 with a P0351 error and the MIL (Check engine light) flashes eleven times. There is no spark at the plugs, no spark at the coil. I added a direct ground to the neg side of the coil, no luck. I tested the coil on an old 1964 car and the 64 started, so I think the coil is good. I have good continuity from both pos and neg leads on the coil to the PCM. So no broken wires. What else can I check? Does anyone know what the 11 flashes on the MIL would be? Help! Truck will not start. A high voltage coil was installed, the truck ran fine for about 10 minutes, then died completely. Re-installed the original coil, no change. What happened here????? HELP!

Sounds like a wire problem. Check the stickys at the top of this section, for the service manual and weiring diagrams.

can't seem to find the wiring diagrams or manual.. new to the site.
The error code is P0351 (not P0315) ..... Mis-type

Could the PCM have failed? It seems to lead to that anyway. Just changing the coil and now no spark. I have good wire to and from the PCM, + and - side of the coil. arg!! This is frustrating! (-:

The manual is in the 2nd gen Dakota sub forum. Where you clicked on this post. Look at the top of posts. Look to the left and see the green arrow. There is also the list of codes in the stickys too. Look for the smiley face on the left side.

the link for the service manual doesn't work. I have a Ram 3.9 wiring diagram. I was able to check continuity from the coil to the PCM. It's good. I also check spark at the coil, no spark. I unplugged the sensors, throttle, air temp, Cam position, crank position and I get additional errors. So I think all those sensors are good or at least reading something to cause an error when they are disconnected. I still have no spark and a P0351 error. Only thing I can figure is the PCM took a puke. My son siad the speedo went to 80 then the truck died.

Any idea what 11 flashes of the check engine light means?

Well, I think this problem is the PCM. I changed the coil, distributor pick up, cap and rotor. No spark at the coil. I get voltage on the positive side of the coil and voltage on the negative side of the coil. I added a direct ground to the negative side of the coil, still no spark. I have good continuity on both positve and negative leads from the coil to the PCM. Throttle position sensor, cam position sensor and crank position sensors are all good too. What am I missing here? I am stuck! HELP!
