Dropping an R/T

i would not heat the coils
is bad juju, you destroy the spring rate so ride quality is gone and they will eventually break,
be safer to just cut them

you have 2 order 2 leaf springs tho, and I had to flip the bolt that hold the leafs together....simple install tho

now how did you know what those were going to do on your R/T? because the product list just says 'dakota'

underneath it you select from a dropdown menu your cab year and engine size

its a redish colored one

Belltech or DJM drop leafs are actually stronger then the stock leafs on the R/Ts due to the factory removing one leaf to get the 1in lower it made them weak, which is why they are not recommended for heavy towing.

a good 2/3 drop on a the already 1/1 on the r/t will make it look nice and not to low.

I would use drop control arms otherwise you will not be able to get it aligned properly, i have that problem right now and i used 2in drop springs. Get a good set of tubular drop arms and do it right, and a set of Belltech leafs, and your all set.. no shackles, no blocks, no springs....
