brake line booster-seafoam

Default brake line booster-seafoam

could someone give me a hand in locating the brake line booster so i could seafoam? thanks.

is it one of those hoses that is attached to the black drum like thing in front of the driver?

Yes. The power brake booster (PBB), which is located right behind the brake master cylinder (where you check/add your brake fluid), is perhaps the easiest place to locate a vacuum like to pour the Seafoam into.

so i poured half the can in the gas tank and the remaining i sucked up with the break booster, i let it sit for 15min or so. and no smoke show what so ever, not even on startup. wtf did i do wrong? i doubt my 120,xxxmile dakota was that clean.

Was the truck bogging down when you were pouring it in?

yes, i would stop the suction right before i felt it would stall, then resume. did i do it to slow and the seafoam burnt off?

We did it to my buddys 98 dakota took us 5-10min to pour half the bottle in. We let it sit about 10 min and it really didnt smoke that much either but enough that you could tell.

I thought you were supposed to kill it when pouring it into the vacuum?

No its meant to be poured in slowly and not to stall like once or twice is ok but not every time then after you have poured half the can in let it sit for 10-20min then start it up and it should smoke for about 5 min(depending how dirty everything is)
