So I bought some Turtle Wax Ice paste cause I was looking for a good wax. But no where on the box does it call it a wax, it says ICE POLISH Paste. Is this a polish and I need to go over this with wax? And if not, what is a good polish you guys reccomend using, that can be bought at a car store or wal mart?

 

A polish can be used instead of a wax. It lasts longer and shines a bit better, but it usually has to be applied with an orbital buffer, but not always.

You can put a wax over a polish, but it's like doing the same job twice. It's like clear coating twice on two separate occasions.

 

I always thought the wax sealed and protected it, while polish really cleans the paint and makes it glossy

 

This is correct. A polish will not protect the finish of your truck. The Turtle Wax you have will need to be gone over again with a real wax. I recommend McGuiars tech wax 2.0.
