Default question about 4.7 dakota (gas mileage)

howdy dakota people. i am a ram owner, 2000 with the 3.9. my big truck has a little engine which means i get about 15 mpg combined. and i have little power. i found an ext cab, 2wd 2002 dakota with the 4.7 v8. i was wondering what the gas mileage would be? its an auto. and it has magnaflow super 40's so im guessing it may be 1 more mpg than the average. i was just wondering if anyone has one like it, or similar and could tell me about what the mileage would be. thanks

I get about 13 city and 17-18 Highway. Mine's on 33's with an exhaust, don't know what type since it was on it when I got it.

Its for sale as well. don't know where you live though.

I'm averaging 16.2 per the overhead computer, over a range of 4500 mixed miles. Dad's HEMI is recording 17.7 MPG per the overhead (all highway).

4x4 4.7 Auto - 14.5-15 city, 16.5-17.5 sometimes even 18, once hit 19 highway. Thats with an Intake and no muffler.

I have to add though the 4.7 is a really a perfect match to the Dakota. Plenty of power, not really a need to mash the throttle, and has lots of power for towing.
