When i let my truck idle, i can hear a sqeeking noise that comes from around the engine.
I think it may be a bad bearing in a pulley.

Anybody with experiance on this?

 

I just replaced my belt. have somebody hold the throttle (or pull the air hat off and do it manually) right where it squeeks, and try to listen around.

We foudn that, assuming the new and old belts were the same PN, my old one stretched over half an inch, and was right at the limit of the tensioner's swing.
