Default noise and vibration at different speeds

I have a 2004 2WD Dakota Quad cab with the 4.7L. At 39MPH and again at 69 MPH I hear a droning noise and feel a vibration. The vibration comes through the steering wheel, and the foot peddles. It is such a low noise that I can't tell where it is coming from. In fact when I sat on the passenger side I could barely hear it.

It started just shortly before my 6000 mile check up. The nose was there before the tire rotation in this check up and still there after.

The dealer has replace the exhaust system and the steering pump, but it is still there. The noise is worse at the higher speed and it has actually expanded. I now have it between 66MPH and 70 MPH.

Has anyone else had this problem. The dealer doesn't get a lot of 2WD Dakotas in to compare the problem with. Any suggestions of what to do next.

I guess if everything checks out mechanically, front end, brakes, wheel bearings are all okay...my next step would be to take a hard look at the tires. Tread seperation on a radial can give you all kinds of sensations or vibrations while driving at different speeds.
