Lots of talk about it but no one (that I have found) ever went through with it. But I believe a 3rd gen may have or a durango. Youtube had a few. Have you found any info on it?

i did a couple of years back back and almost went out and bought the engine but i ended up using that money to put all new suspension on. I have a 98 2wd sport and i know a hemi wont sit in there without doing away with the brake booster. You'll need a setup like say a 98 mustang has. I'm pretty sure a hemi will bolt right up to my stock 5 speed tranny. I know this swap is possible for the dakotas between the years of 97-99. Once dakotas came with the 4.7's the frame was changed and not wide enough for the hemi to sit in. As for mounts i cannot remember what i had planned, i'll have to go back into research. I would need a computer and all the wiring for that cause my original 3.9 comp obviously wouldn't work. Right now i did away with the computer because i have 5.2 LA under the hood. That was a mistake i wish i had waited to find a magnum somewhere. But at the time i wanted it old school heh

I take that back about it not being possible for the dakota's with the 4.7. heres a link of someone doing the conversion http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/...ad.php?t=30531 i remember seeing that too i don't know why i thought it wasn't possible.. This should help for those who have a 4wd

This is the best post I can give. It is a 1st Gen, but most of the same steps will be involved.

As for the V6 to V8 check the FAQ.
