Default Been asked a million times

Ok Yall, I know this general ? has been asked at least a million times But I am asking it a little differently. I have a 97 Dakota CC, 5.2, 5sp, with a 3:9 rearend. My plan is to turn this little truck into an R/T clone. I haven't done anything with the suspension yet but I do plan to drop it a LITTLE bit to get a more agressive stance. My ? tonight is what size tires can I fit under this truck on stock R/t (17x9) wheels? I plan to run a performance tire as opposed to a utility type truck tire. So I'm not so much interested in how tall it can be. I would kinda like to stay around the 28" height. So how tall and wide can a tire be under a slightly droped (2"/4") Dak? keep in mind that I would like to stay away from any triming or spacers and rubbing in the fenders. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions, cause this is gonna be awesome.

As for your tire question it depends on what your hight is going to be. The best way to fugue out what size you want is to take some measurements and use a tire calculator. Like this one. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp Tons more, just go to www.google.com
