Default mopar performance pcm and big cam...

i want to dump a crate motor into my 99 dakota r/t i was wondering if any one had done this and if it messed up the pcm reall bad... i want to put in a 360 cu and a performance pcm and i don't want a check engine light. any suggestions?

first of all will it fit? Second of all cant you just get those coeds cleared? i think my bro did it once. . . not sure

First off the 360crate motor will fit.And if you get the performance ecm with it you shouldnt have any codes to clear.
I have been thinking about doing just this with my 99 dak r/t if i dont sell it first.

There are limits to the Mopar PCMs capabilities. You can go as large as you want, up to, i think its .536 lift / duration. After that, you will need a stand alone computer piggy back system, like Accel DFI, or the DIABLO system.
