Most states anything but clear up front maybe illegal. The black back ones can be painted to match your truck but may be illegal too. Check with your state inspection or police before spending your money and save yourself the hassle. And just because everyone else is doing it the police might decide to make an example of you.

Yeah may have to do surface prep for paint but the black is just like the way a new bumper is before painting.

Not tailight covers but a mirror that was unpainted used a rattle can of touch up paint. Dont try to cover it all at once. use small short sprays to avoid runs.

I have had my vent visors painted the same color as my truck, but make sure whoever paints them uses flex additive. This way if you bend them the paint will ot chip off. I had another truck with painted Vent visors, bug shield, lighted visor and headlight/taillight covers. It can be done by any bodyshop. Just don;t let them forget the flex additives.
