Exhaust going in next week...
After getting all the fluids changed, new diff seals, and fixed my coolant leak, its time for the exhaust.
Going into the shop next week to be done.
Removing the cat, puting a pipe in its place, installing o2 simulators to not trip a CEL, dual pipes off a flowmaster 40 muffler.
All I need to buy now are the tips.
I know i said id go with the magnaflow but im getting a great deal on all this. If the flowmaster isnt for me il swap it out myself down the road.
Btw the only reason its being done at a shop is i have done alot of past work with them.
The price for all this and labour? 300$cd

o2 simulators are for a dodge 1500
it is a different fit than a dakota so it will need to be modded abit
i will take a video of it next week
as for your setup a 4.7 will sound different from a 5.2 but removing your cat should make it alittle louder a maybe sqeeze an extra mpg out of it.
price is pretty good actually considering i couldent buy a system and have it shipped to me for 250cd. let alone a simulator and the labour to put everything in.
may have found a pair of tips for free too...
i am really looking forward to not having the cat rattling 24/7
figured i spend so much on gas to have that v8 power i should be entitled to alittle v8 sound too

My single cat-back exhaust with tip cost me $420 with the Aero Turbine exhaust, which I highly recommend to folks. That's Alaska prices with a military discount. We have to pay a bit extra for everything in Alaska because of the shipping.

Shipping is partly why I haven't done the manifold, headers and throttle-body yet. I'm probably going to do the manifold, throttle-body and 1.7:1 RR right after the holidays.
I have to say though, even though our shipping is a PITA, it's worth it. Alaska is amazing. I just wish it were easier to get into the back-country. Back home in Oregon, there are logging roads to get around in the woods, but because of the protesters, they gate them closed.
and now I'm monologuing....sry :-)

did u know u can make urself some sims??
i read on a Cobra forum(we were doing a rear end swap) and came across it
all you really need are spark plug spacers...they make them for circle track cars for a very retarded spark
and all you have to do it weld a nut in the exhaust tude and shave off about 3/4 of the overlap on the spacer and tap the right threads for the 02 sensor and the spacer screws into the nut and the sim screws into the spacer....ill look for a link
