Default Bad Ignition Switch?

I have a 2001 Dakota when driving the radio and blower fan will stop working and if you wiggle the ignition both will start working again for a short period of time. I read a posting on this suggesting it could be the switch or the CTM but no fix for the problem was mentioned.

It's probabaly the switch. If it were the CTM the fan, radio or whatever part is intermittent would not work at all. They would be totally inoperative. Check a Haynes book or see if you can download the 2001 service manual from the sticky at the top of the 2nd gen page. Either one should tell you how to remove and replace the switch and test it with an ohm meter. I have seen a few posts here about bad ignition switches, but it doesn't come up as often as we might think.
