Default brake problem

hey guys, finally got my truck out of storage where it sat with a cover for almost 2 months. driving it home today i had a problem with the right rear drum brake making a squealing sound when i press the brake pedal down about half way. i dont know if the wheel is locking up or not. it is not continuous, it last about half a second. there are no codes. i get the same thing sometimes in the early mornings after it rains the night before (but it only happens once or twice). any help is much appreciated.

that would be my guess too. It only takes a day or two (depending on where you live) for rust to start forming on the rotors.

My truck does this annoying squeek/rubbing sound when I'm backing up and touch the brakes early in the morning. Only does it in the morning, and usually just for a second, and only in reverse. I don't worry about....I'm guessing it's condensation on the rotor and pads....It just annoys the hell outta me.

From a shop/person you trust? I always wonder bout stuff like this. The brakes are really not that hard to do, tho not any kinda fun. If you have the ability have at it yourself. I think my shoes and hardware kit was like $30 or less from napa. the drums are bout $50 a piece there too.

Well let us know if it fixes it so we know for the next person

i have been to this shop many times and they have always given me an honest price and i usually watch the work being done and review the receipts before i do anything. however this does seem kind-of high too me. but money is no issue when it comes to my truck . and i definitely don't have the tools at home to do this job
