Default Check engine light

Hi everybody,

I would like to know if there is another way to erase store code in computer than scanner.
I do have a P0300, 0301, 0303,0305 ( misfire ) and i hear that after some times if theres is no more misfire, the code will erase itself !

Is it true ?

Thank's

If the engine is not missing at that time, no it will not throw a code. You should post this in the 2nd Generation Dakota sub-forum. I will move it there for you.

To reset your engine codes:
Remove the negative terminal of your battery (10mm wrench).
Turn your ignition key to START and hold it there for about 15 seconds.
Turn your ignition key to OFF and remove it.
Connect the negative terminal of your battery.

Here is the list of codes and how to read codes without a scanner. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1052121-post2.html
