Default Front Axles blow diff. fluid up vent tube

Hi!! Search the thread and didn't find anything.
1997 Dakota 4x4
Anyone have a problem with there front axles blowing fluid up the vent tube?
I drain what's left of it, everything looks ok wear pattern etc.
blow out the vent tube and clean it with brake fluid, refilled
and it blow out again. Any solutions??

My friend said it could be the one of the hub fail, creating extra rotate faster creating pressure??

thanks

Most likely it is the vent. It is clogged. It is letting the pressure build up inside. Then it releases fluid when it releases pressure. Just replace the vent and tube.

We blow the vent tube with air pressure, and clean it out with aerosol brake fluid
there was no blockage

I have the same problem, every time i slow down and stop or just slow down i can smell gear oil. Is the vent tube you are talking about on the passenger side of the radiator? Did you ever figure the problem out. Will it hurt my truck if i keep driving and where do i refill the oil. Not much of a mechanic so is this something i can do myself?

My dak is doing the same thing seems like it only does it when it is hot out. All I do is make sure there is enough fluid and keep on driving it.

Went to the parts store tonight, guy in there said i have water in the diff. Must be a seal out on the axle. Says the water gets hot and pushes the oil out the vent tube cause naturaly oil is lighter than water.

My still blow it out after cleaning and replacing the fluid in the summer. I was thing about refilling the front axle, then taking the 1 litre container and hooking a tube on the cap in, turning it upside down and connecting it to the vent tube, also putting a couple of hole near the bottom which it's at the top, at least it will keep the fluid contained and flow back into the axles when i'm not driving it. Almost like the radiator reservoir

I'll check me seals on both side of the axles next time when it's warm up, -28c in calgary brrrr.
thanks for the info, anymore please post
