Not everyone has a few thousand dollars to drop on a big block. Not to mention everything else that would have to be swapped to make a big block work in that truck...
Actually you can probably find a 360 and swap it in, for just as much if not less then a new s/c'er would cost...

There is a difference between a chip and superchips. Superchips is a hand held tuner, unlike a 'performance' chip, which is what the jet chip is. They are two different things. The chip gets plugged into your computer and stays there with limited tuning ability. Superchips you plug in and can adjust settings with different tunes and what not. They are different. Chips are junk and never seem to work like they say, superchips are much more efficient and work pretty well on the 3.9/5.2/5.9 engine family.

I disagree. There are many ways to get power out of a V6.

A 5.2 and 5.9 are not big blocks and they can be picked up all day long for well under $1000 including the parts required to swap them. The 5.2 will get about the same gas milage in these trucks as the 3.9 and have much more torque/power because the 3.9 just isn't enough engine to push them. The 5.9 will get worse milage, but have the most power. Honestly, if you have the money to do a mild build on a 3.9, you have the money to do a v8 swap and the v8 swap will be much better in the long run.

I did the complete swap from 3.9 to 5.9 cost me 700 i think it was for the motor, pcm and harness and dropped it in. I think what cost me the most was a new crank sensor. Because I took it to the dealer because I couldn't get the damn thing to run properly. Turns out he was a dumb *** and didn't do what I told him to do big waste of 300 bucks... I know next time do the work myself. lol.

Anyways it was pretty simple and if you get the same year harness everything will bolt/plug/line up. If it's not the plugs may be different on the harness which was the only issue i had.
