Cheapest horsepower is and always will be more cubic inches. A v6 is not for power, and not even mileage in these trucks. Drop in a 5.2 or 5.9 if you want power.

I disagree. There are many ways to get power out of a V6.

Not everyone has a few thousand dollars to drop on a big block. Not to mention everything else that would have to be swapped to make a big block work in that truck...

there might be a way with some serious modification of bracketry to get one of the big 3 centrifugal superchargers to work on the 3.9, it is essentially a 5.2 anyway.

You can get a V8 TB, really opens it up over 3000rpm. Im so glad I did mine I got 2 extras lol. Just be sure you get a V8 throttle cable too. TB spacers are just a paper weight on our motors.

i ve got a superchip and i know alot of other ppl on here have them aswell w/o any problems, just stay away from jetchips. superchips can only do good for more power. plus if you got a s/c you would probably need to get the SCT tuner. not positive about that but, chips=good.
