I still havent decied wether I'm going to get a Flowmaster of a Magnaflow. But I am leaning toward the Mag. I would like to know the inlet/outlet measurment and the length from opening to opening that i will have to order. Feel free to post a link to the best price or the one I need. i think stock is 2.5 and middle in middle out would be the easiest to install for whoevers doing it

2.5 in 2.5 out, theres a seafoam video in my signature where you can hear the exhaust pretty well for the first 30~ seconds until he moves the camera right by the engine and it gets hard to hear the exhaust

You'll be happy with either, but I've always thought the Magnaflow sounded a little smoother and better tone, where as the Flowmaster is a little more raspy. It's all a matter of what sound you're going for.

And btw, it doesn't have to fit the exact same spot the old one was. Any aftermarket muffler you get will be shorter than the stock. But any shop will just replace the piping from the cat to the muffler and then again after the muffler. And piping is cheap so don't worry about it.

 

I love my magnaflow I was only about 85% happy with it when first installed but after some driving time it started to sound better and now im 100% happy with it. I got my whole system off ebay for under 300.

A Magnaflow #14586 has the same length dimensions and inlets and outlets as the stock muffler and will bolt in with a fabricated hanger at the front. I bent and welded some rods onto a muffler clamp to support the front of the muffler from the stock rubber hangers. No need for an extension pipe that you would need for a Flowmaster. I've had both and am much happier with the Magnaflow. The Flowmaster droned in the cab badly. The Magnaflow has a mellow idle and really sounds good when you step into the throttle. It also has a glass packing and gets throatier with some miles.
