Kinda hard to stick the fan back on because I had to use a sawzall to get it off XD. And I am running a 195* tstat, which is alot better than the 180* I had put in before removing all that crap.

Could be stuck open, as the new ones are fail safe and fail "open" instead of "closed"

and wtf? Why did you use a sawza to get it off? An alen wrench in the pulley a monkey wrench around the nut and a hammer is all it takes to get off, hell most auto places can rent you out a tool to remove it in like 5 secs.

We tried just about everything including the rental tool. None of the pieces in the kit fit the nut. So I busted out the sawzall after a couple hours of pissing around.

The 195* tstat is brand new and like I said, works alot better than the 180* tstat.

when you removed the clutch fan did you install an electric fan in its place? if so, did you wire it to run constantly or is it running off a thermoswitch? if it is running constantly that could be your problem

Fuel Econmy in winter is not available,as the engines run open loop for a long time to get up to temp and even then they run richer. I let mine run for 20 minutes before I think about driving it.I guess I am getting lazy and
would sooner let it warm up and getting lubricated before I go down the road in a hurry and create another problem to repair!
